The gallery on the first floor exhibits a large selection of the collection, organised around a few key garden themes, though the Museum’s holdings are too extensive for everything we have to be displayed at one time.

The works on display are rotated on a regular basis. This allows visitors to see the variety of items we look after; ‘resting’ in storage can also extend the life of vulnerable works, particularly light-sensitive items such as photographs or watercolours.
