Events & Exhibitions

The Museum organises three main exhibitions in the gallery space each year.  Our exhibition From Garden City to Green City, opened explored the many visions, designs and projects that have inspired the ‘green city’ movement over the last 150 years. From the Victorian pioneers determined to improve living conditions in post-Industrialised Britain, to today’s ground-breaking landscape architects transforming our urban centres, the exhibition considers whether our current enthusiasm for eco-living and seasonality can make a lasting change.

We are currently changing our temporary exhibition space and will re-open with Garden Open Today: 300 Years of Garden Visiting on Tuesday 24th April.  Until the next exhibition opens the Museum admission prices are reduced.

Our Magazine Space also showcases temporary exhibitions and is currently showing the photographs of Gertrude Jekyll originally shown in the Museum 20 years ago.

Entrance to the temporary exhibitions is covered in the Museum Admission
