Modern War Gardens: Paradise Lost 15/10/14
As we mark the centenary of the start of The First World War, join photojournalist Lalage Snow as she takes a look at the unresting conflict in the modern world and how the inhabitants of modern war zones in the Middle East and parts of Europe have succeeded in not only surviving but flourishing in these hostile environments. This event accompanies an exhibition which runs from 24th September to 5th January.
In Modern War Gardens: Paradise Lost, Lalage Snow, examines three of these modern conflicts, what life is really like for those living in the shadows of war and the cultural significance of gardening.
Lalage Snow is a photojournalist, filmmaker and writer based in London. The award nominated Paradise Lost is an on going project and has in part been published in The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, The Garden and Sueddeutsche Zeitung magazine.
