New donations and acquisitions
We are happy to announce new donations and aquisitions to the Museum's collection.
One of our newest acquisitions is a rather beautiful late Victorian catalogue of Harwood Brothers in Balham dated 1895.
Another new acquisition is a photograph of Great Dixter in Sussex, the former home of gardener and writer Christopher Lloyd. It shows the scaffolding being removed after the original house was remodelled by Sir Edwin Lutyens, plus the yew hedging has recently been planted in the foreground for the Topiary Garden - so c.1912.
Our newest donation is a Dig for Victory Poster that was given to us through the generosity of Simon Spear. In this image we are advised to grow for winter as well as summer. Good advice even today.
