In January 2012 we refurbished one of the collection stores (with a grant from the Whatmore Foundation).  Everything was taken and laid out, cleaned and checked, the store was thoroughly cleaned, new shelving installed and the collection  returned to storage in brand new boxes.  The refit has made the collection much safer and more accessible.  The change won’t be visible front-of-house but it will really help us answer visitor enquiries and prepare for exhibitions more quickly and easily.
