A yellow plastic Vallo watering can made in Sweden by Ikea. The Vallo watering can was designed by Monika Mulder, a Dutch designer, for Ikea and won the Award for best Swedish design in 2002. Mulder wanted to create an aesthetic can, stating ‘I wanted to give the can an organic, fluid shape, in harmony with plants and running water. By using different templates I was able to sculpt a prototype that felt perfect in every way. The final watering can has an appearance that encourages you to have it out on display, instead of hidden away.’
