All our primary school sessions are free for London state schools.

Our plant science sessions for Primary school visits are mostly tailored for either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. We have one session suitable for Reception classes.

During all sessions pupils can enjoy hands-on activities including plant dissection, soil science experiments or investigating water transportation in plants, and will gain microscopy skills by using both stereo and digital microscopes,

Every session involves taking a two-minute walk to our Community Garden and to an area of the museum called the Ark Gallery to view artefacts acquired by the Tradescants, 17th-century gardeners, plant hunters, and founders of the country’s first public museum in Lambeth.
