Melissa Scott-Miller’s paintings celebrate London’s precious green spaces, parks and gardens. As part of River Art Walk, a weekend art trail across South Bank, Southwark, Lambeth and Waterloo, Melissa will be hosting a free drop-in drawing workshop at the Garden Museum on Saturday 21 March.
Stop by any time to practice drawing plants around the museum and our gardens, guided by Melissa. All ages and abilities welcome!
Please bring your own sketchbooks and pencils if you have them, but basic materials for sketching will be provided (no easels or wet materials, please).
River Art Walk is a weekend art trail bringing together major galleries, independent spaces, and working artist studios across the South Bank, Southwark, Lambeth & Waterloo.
Following the Thames and the streets nearby, RAW invites audiences to explore exhibitions, events and open studios. Encounter art at every scale, from seeing internationally recognised institutions to meeting artists at work in their own spaces.
Make Space Studios is the RAW hub and will be hosting open studios on Friday 20th 6-9pm and Saturday 21st 12-5pm. Start your walk at the hub and enjoy this opportunity to meet the makers in their studios, attend workshops and hear live music.
