This workshop is part of the Garden Museum’s Branch Out programme, a series of free events and activities exploring gardening, art, floristry, plant science, history, design, and more!

What should a museum about gardening look and feel like today?

Join us at the Garden Museum for a creative workshop exploring the future of our permanent collection galleries. As part of our exciting Gallery Redisplay Project, we’re inviting our communities to share their ideas and help shape how the galleries will be presented for the Museum’s 50th anniversary.

You’ll have the chance to tour the current galleries, discover some of the objects and stories on display, and then get involved in a hands-on gallery design activity. Your ideas will contribute directly to the Garden Museum’s plans to create a more accessible, inclusive and engaging permanent gallery display.

No previous experience of art, gardening or exhibition design is needed — just bring your ideas and imagination!

This event is part of Art History Festival 2026 organised by the Association for Art History.
