Garden Museum Lambeth. Dow Jones Architects
Our doors will be open late, and our Head Gardener Matt Collins will be leading tours of the courtyard and community gardens. This is a rare chance to explore the Museum’s living spaces with the person who knows them best.
As part of your visit, visitors can also enjoy exclusive access to Seeds of Exchange: Canton and London in the 1700s, our current temporary exhibition exploring the life of John Bradby Blake – an 18th-century botanist working in Canton – and his remarkable collaboration with Whang A Tong. Featuring plant watercolours, Chinese clay sculptures, and a Reynolds portrait, the exhibition traces the early exchange of plants, knowledge, and culture between East and West.
Our permanent collections which tell the story of British gardening from the 16th century through to today will also be open.
Proceeds from this open evening are shared between the Garden Museum and the National Garden Scheme.
