The Stuff that Stuff is Made Of – The things we make with plants

Join author and plant-science aficionado Jonathan Drori for a celebration and world-tour of some of the amazing things we make with plants, from vanilla to chocolate, rubber to bamboo. There’ll also be some science demos answering the serious question of what plants are actually made of, together with a fun and totally unstressful quiz where we’ll pit children against adults. The session will end with a workshop to try your hand at charcoal drawings of plants.

Jonathan Drori CBE is a Trustee of Cambridge Science Centre and both Oxford and Cambridge Botanic Gardens. Previously, he was on the Board of The Eden Project, The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. His botanical TED talks (at ted.com) have been seen by millions. His books, Around the World in 80 Trees and Around the World in 80 Plants have been bestsellers in many languages and his first illustrated book for children, The Stuff that Stuff is Made Of (The Things we Make with Plants) was published recently.
